Scott Charney
Scott is Corporate Vice President for Microsoft’s Trustworthy Computing Group. This group is responsible for the security and global readiness of Microsoft’s products and services, as well as addressing global public policy issues relating to computer security. Prior to joining Microsoft, Scott served as Chief of the Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section in the U.S. Department of Justice. In that capacity, he investigated and prosecuted national and international hacker cases, proposed and commented on cybercrime legislation; and chaired the G8 Subgroup on High-Tech Crime. |
