Hon. Douglas H. Ginsburg
Judge Ginsburg was appointed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia in 1986 by President Ronald Reagan. He served as Chief Judge from 2001 to 2008. In addition to remaining with the Court as senior status circuit judge, Judge Ginsburg is a full-time faculty member at the George Mason University School of Law. Prior to his appointment to the D.C. Circuit, Judge Ginsburg was a professor of law at Harvard University, served as Assistant Attorney General of the Justice Department’s Antitrust Division, and was Administrator of the office of Information and Regulatory affairs (OIRA) at the office of Management and Budget (OMB). |
