John O'Quinn
John is a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where his practice focuses on litigation, including intellectual property disputes, regulatory matters, and other complex matters at the trial and appellate levels. He has extensive argument experience before both trial and appellate courts, and has argued in most of the U.S. Courts of Appeals, including the Federal Circuit. John represents a number of prominent technology companies, both in offensive and defensive litigation matters. He was recognized in 2015 by the National Law Journal as a Litigation Trailblazer and was featured by The American Lawyer as litigator of the week in October 2015. John is a former law clerk to Justice Scalia, and served as Deputy Associate Attorney General in the U.S. Department of Justice from 2006 to 2008. |
