Cecil focuses his practice on patent and trademark litigation, including representation of plaintiffs and defendants before both federal courts and agencies. He regularly appears before various courts and agencies known for adjudicating patent cases, including the Eastern District of Texas, Eastern District of Virginia, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. Supreme Court, and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Prior to forming the DGKeyIP Group, Cecil was a partner with the IP group of a large, multinational firm where he regularly represented Fortune 50 clients in patent infringement matters. Currently, he focuses on assisting individuals as well as small to mid-size companies with protection of their IP. Cecil’s experience includes matters involving a diverse range of technologies, including software, semiconductors, broadband/networking, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, wind turbines, and mechanical devices.
