Robert A. Armitage
Bob served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Eli Lilly & Co. from 2003 to 2013. He joined Eli Lilly & Co. as Vice President and General Patent Counsel of Lilly Research Laboratories in 1999. Bob served as Chief Intellectual Property Counsel of The Upjohn Company, and was a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Vinson & Elkins LLP. He serves as an adjunct professor of law at George Washington University and as a member of the board of directors of both Intellectual Property Owners (IPO) and the National Inventors Hall of Fame Foundation (NIHFF). Bob serves as member of the Council for the Intellectual Property Law Section of the American Bar Association (ABA IPL Section). He is a member and a past president of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) and the Association of Corporate Patent Counsel (ACPC). Bob holds a Master’s degree in Physics from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School. |
