Leah Waterland leads the Incubation, Data & AI Strategy legal team at Cisco, partnering with engineering leaders, legal and regulatory experts, business strategists, and security specialists across the company to enable AI and other product innovation. She continues to lead legal support for Cisco’s incubation engine—Outshift. Prior to building this new legal team, Leah helped lead an early cross-functional group of legal experts to enable generative AI at the company and she previously managed patent and commercial litigation, with a focus on the law surrounding FRAND licensing and patent damages.
