Hon. Terence P. Kemp
Judge Kemp was appointed to his current position as United States Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Ohio in September, 1987. He has been reappointed to that position several times, most recently in 2011. Judge Kemp is also an adjunct professor at Capital University Law School and the Moritz College of Law at the Ohio State University, teaching courses on federal courts and depositions and discovery. From 1977 to 1979, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Malcolm Muir in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Judge Kemp entered private practice in 1979, practicing for a year in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania before joining the Columbus office of Baker & Hostetler in 1980 as an associate in the litigation department. He became a partner in that firm in 1986. Judge Kemp received a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1977. He was a member of the Virginia Law Review, the Moot Court Board, and was elected to the Order of the Coif. |
