Ahmed J. Davis
Ahmed is a principal in the DC office of Fish & Richardson, a member of the firm’s Compensation Committee, and National Chair of the F&R Diversity Initiative. His practice focuses on complex patent litigation in a range of technical areas. A trial attorney experienced in all phases of litigation, Ahmed has been lead counsel in the International Trade Commission and Federal District Court, has argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and has experience in cases before the United States Court of Federal Claims. He has particular expertise and is the firm’s leading attorney for matters in the “rocket docket” that is the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. He is the pro bono coordinator for the firm’s DC office, is a member of the firm’s 1L Diversity Hiring Committee and the DC office summer associate hiring committees, and he regularly speaks to law students about opportunities in patent law and the importance of judicial clerkships. Before joining the firm, Ahmed was a law clerk for the Honorable Leonie M. Brinkema in the Alexandria Division of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. He also was a law clerk for the Honorable Paul R. Michel at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Ahmed is on the Board of Directors for the Living Classrooms Foundation in Washington, DC and is a Deacon at Montgomery Baptist Church in Gaithersburg, MD. |
