Kristen Hilton
Kristen is the Assistant Attorney-in-Charge in the Oregon Department of Justice’s Antitrust, False Claims, & Privacy Section. In that role, Kristen leads Oregon DOJ’s Privacy Unit, which handles data breach and privacy related matters impacting Oregonians, including violations of the Oregon Consumer Information Protection Act and the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act. She frequently collaborates with other attorneys general offices on investigations and co-led the recent multistate settlement with Marriott Hotels regarding the Starwood data breach. Before joining the Oregon DOJ in 2020, Kristen spent more than a decade in private practice as a commercial litigator, first in California and then in her hometown of Portland, Oregon. Kristen received her J.D. from UCLA School of Law and has been a Certified Information Privacy Professional for the U.S. since 2017. |
