Lisa is a legal Director and Associate General Counsel at Cisco Systems Inc. She is a patent attorney with over 20 years of corporate and law firm experience. During her career, Lisa has drafted and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications, including applications directed to artificial intelligence technologies. In her current role, Lisa is responsible for IP transactions, including negotiating technology deals, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic patent licenses - with a particular focus on addressing unique concerns associated with artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies. Lisa also is an adjunct professor for Emory University School of Law, serving as the faculty supervisor for the school’s Patent Clinical Practicum, the first USPTO Law School Clinic in the state of Georgia.
