Zach is a shareholder at Godfrey & Kahn, based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He represents clients in cybersecurity and privacy litigation, including defending businesses in consumer class actions arising from data breaches and other alleged privacy violations. Zach also advises clients on technology compliance, incident preparation, and breach response. After law school, Zach clerked for U.S. District Judge J.P. Stadtmueller of the Eastern District of Wisconsin. Zach also worked as in-house counsel for a Fortune 500 industrial automation company, leading its privacy, cybersecurity, and breach response legal functions. He has earned his CIPP/US, CIPM, AIGP, and Security+ certifications and developed and teaches the Cybersecurity: Law and Practice course at Marquette University Law School.
