Miles is the principal of Carlsen Law Corporation. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in December 1990 and since that time has served as counsel for companies and their principals in federal and state courts throughout California and elsewhere, in administrative proceedings and in arbitrations involving insurance recovery, corporate/partnership control disputes, employment practices and commercial claims. Miles previously served as a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Federal Courts Coordinating Committee and has served for over a decade as a Special Master appointed by the State Bar of California in connection with various law enforcement investigations throughout Southern California. He received his B.A. from the University of the South and his J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law. He considers it a privilege to be working on the §1782 issue with such a stellar group of jurists and attorneys.
