Judge Dr. Klaus Bacher
Klaus is a judge at the Federal Court of Justice (Bundesgerichtshof) in Germany. From 1995, he worked in the special division for IP law at the District Court (Landgericht) in Mannheim. Judge Bacher was assigned to the Ministry of Justice of the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg as desk officer from 1997 to 2000 and to the patent division of the Federal Court of Justice as research assistant from 2000 to 2003. In 2003 he was appointed to the Court of Appeals (Oberlandesgericht) in Karlsruhe. From 2006 he worked in the special division for IP law of this court. In 2009, Judge Bacher was appointed to the Federal Court of Justice, and is a member of the patent division (10. Zivilsenat) and the anti-trust division (Kartellsenat). Judge Bacher is co-author of a commentary on the German Patent Act and co-author and editor of several textbooks and commentaries on other fields of German law. |
