Dr. Péterfalvi has been the President of the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information since 2012. He has been active in the field of data protection since 1996. Between 2001-2007, he was the Parliamentary Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information in Hungary. He is the author of 50 publications on data protection and freedom of information in the Hungarian and English languages. Dr. Péterfalvi is an Honorary Professor at Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church and also at Pázmány Péter Catholic University in Hungary. He received a PhD in 2014 at Zrínyi Miklós National Defence University. He graduated from the Eötvös Loránd University Faculty of Political Science and Law in 1981.
